Early in Her Career

For many years Rosemary's professional specialty has been massage therapy, with interest in the mind-body connection. In 1984, Rosemary was studying for a Masters of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology when she was introduced to massage therapy. As a result of this introduction, Rosemary choose to complete her Masters and began her training as a massage therapist rather than take the traditional path of becoming a psychotherapist. She intuitively knew that this blend of psychology and massage would be how she would best serve others. She began her private practice, Tahoe Health Touch Mind-Body Clinic in 1985, in South Lake Tahoe, California.

Rosemary's desire to learn more about the mind-body connection led her to more training and education, studying many massage modalities such as Trager, CranialSacral, Myofascial Release and Jin Shin Do. Rosemary went on to obtain her Reiki Master and her Master Hypnotist designations. In 1994, she also became an ordained minister.

Each workshop and class gave her more information and insight as to how emotions affect our physicality, what is often underneath negative behaviors or illness and how we can clear physical and emotional blocks to experience true healing. Years of doing bodywork and energy healing has helped Rosemary develop a deep knowledge of the physical body, as well as a keen intuitive presence.

AND Then,

in 2001, Rosemary was introduced to a concept that would enhance and change her career forever. In August, 2001, Rosemary's friend was camping in Oregon, even though she would become claustrophobic when in a tent. While sitting at the community campfire one evening, she met a woman who said she could help her with the claustrophobia and began tapping on her face and hands using something called Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT). After the woman finished "tapping", Rosemary's friend reported that the claustrophobia was gone! Then the following month we had 9/11 and Rosemary received an email from a Lomi Lomi massage practitioner in Hawaii, (and whom she had never met) stating that many people would be experiencing feelings of sadness and helplessness because of 9/11. Her suggestion was to use a technique called Emotional Freedom Technique to help reduce these difficult emotions.

In less than 30 days, Rosemary had been given information about Emotional Freedom Technique two different times. And she had never heard of it before! Being a firm believer that if the Universe tells us something more than once, we should probably listen, Rosemary listened. She bought the EFT videos and workbook from its founder, Gary Craig. She studied and practiced daily and after several months, she began using EFT with her clients, with outstanding results. Even though she had been trained in several energy healing techniques, Rosemary was amazed at how EFT provided such a wonderful basis for profound healing.

Today, Rosemary continues to maintain her massage practice, but as a health practitioner, her passion is sharing Emotional Freedom Technique with others. Rosemary continues to learn and practice many advanced techniques of EFT. She works with people individually at her clinic, provides EFT phone sessions, and teaches EFT workshops. Rosemary offers these services to individuals, as well as to businesses and corporations. Recently Rosemary had the opportunity to talk about EFT as the keynote speaker for the California Association of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselors annual conference in Sacramento, CA.

Rosemary continues to divide her time between the two beautiful communities of South Lake Tahoe, California and Santa Cruz, California, with her partner of 13 years. Rosemary has two adult daughters and enjoys long distance cycling, jogging and cross country skiing.
